Projection. I played all three dark souls games and loved them, but elden ring just sucks. Open world doesn't work there, too many reused textures, too many bosses, too many repeated bosses, map is incoherent babble, worse than map in witcher 2, npcs lost all they charm, the lore is even more obscure than in ds games, gameplay is worse than in ds3.
I'd genuinely rather play ds2 than ER
