I've played it for thousands of hours and I still think it's shit game. But guess what? IT'S OKAY. Because there is nothing wrong with like objectively bad things. It's called having a personal preference. I blaze my own path, I don't follow the crowd. Also, the anime sucks dick, you guys need to watch some good animation. It's Far Cry: Cyberpunk. It's a very average game with an above average budget and below average writing.

I can only hope they ditch most of the RPG stuff and make an atmospheric shooter with a focus on relationships and branching choices. If they can blend Disco Elysium with Mirrors Edge and the stuff they did before, they might have an interesting game.

Oh and whoever decided there has to be a permanent vignetting filter on should get kicked in the dick or front hole.

I could've gotten over that but the game is constantly jerking you around between Panam, Judy, Takemura, and whatever 100 pointless side missions that you are never grounded. It's constantly throwing bullshit at you hoping that you don't notice that it has no substance whatsoever.

And the writing/ending is just morose garbage and the looped score and sound effect they repeated 20 times whenever a "serious" moment happened made me want to fly to Poland poop on the CEO's desk.

They still sold 80 gorillion copies, they still 'redeemed' the game later (and the fixes were pretty good, like getting rid of the godawful upgrade and armor system), they still made a good anime that made them a gorillion dollars (unlike Riot) and pushed the game back on the bestsellers for a second time (and third when the expansion came out), and then they sold a gorillion ex

I found Witcher 3 to be stupidly overrated so I never got up in the CP 2077 hype. CDPR probably couldn't create the masterpiece RPG everyone was fellating in their head, given they never made a RPG worth jack shit.

Then it went out and the CDPR retards were screeching about bugs or something like that, they were screeching a lot, they thought CDPR was able to create a RPG or something? Lots of screeching and pissing themselves.

Then I bought the 2.0 Cyberpunk last Christmas. Decent adventure game, I liked the quests, and the universe, good gameplay, a shame the map is still a bit empty. Easily a 7.5/10, maybe a 8/10.

its the same game, its just more playable now and besides phantom liberty the rest of the content added was just fluff

personally i dont really care too much about bugs. i've been playing PC for decades. bugs are part of the experience and unless theyre game breaking they dont really detract from good games too much.

cyberpunk was a 6 at launch and its a 6.5, maaaaybe a 7 now.

I 100%ed on my Pro. But it crashed 15-20 times, had horrible pop-in, wouldn’t load AI, characters would T-pose, textures were missing β€œplace texture here”, missions were bugged, and so on. They patched it I think 3 times within a week or two.

It was a horrendous launch and you combine it with the broken promises and their massive budget, they reaped the shit show they had sown.

Not really, no. They changed the loot system, the skills, the cyberwares, the guns, and the outfits, etc. It plays like a real game now, not like Witcher 3.

Beats me why people love this game and not Fallout 4.
>both ran like shit
>fps with shallow rpg mechanics and yes/no dialogue
>looter shooter with epic weapons
>weapon mods
>railroad story
>companions you don't give a shit about
>by the end you're so high level and maxed out you're basically god anyway
They also didn't live up to any of their original promises. I guess people love neon and dystopia.

I think they should have done more mega building interiors specifically. Imagine a quest chain that takes you into a mega building owned solely by scavs and it turns into The Raid/Dredd, where you just have to fight your way through multiple rooms to the top.

Imagine commissioning a piece of art from someone and they don’t finish it in time and you get a piece of shit that isn’t worth the money that you paid for it. But they continue working on it and it eventually becomes a finished and widely beloved piece of art, to you though it’s still that same unfinished fucking trash. Who’s opinion is right?

Nta, but people said the same thing about RDR2 when I nearly laughed at how hard the game was trying to get me to be sad about dangerous and, frankly, functionally retarded felon. When you strip away the sad music, pretty graphics and cinematics from the story there really isn't any substance to care about. It's the same with Cyberpunk. Why was I supposed to care about someone who was only explained and not really shown to be a friend when his greatest contribution was annoying me by mixing Spanish with English? Why should I care about a nihilistic story that purposefully railroads you into being a specific type person who's ultimate fate basically the same just so the game can make a point? I felt more emotions playing JRPGs on the SNES

NTA but I'm like 50 hours into the game and it's a 9/10 game so far.

I could talk about why I think it's a 9 instead of a 10, but Cyberpunk gets enough shit talk.

Also I should actually finish the game before I give it a proper rating. Maybe it will be a 10 by the end, who knows?

lack of voice acting and mo-cap technology meant you imagined it all perfectly in your mind with the perfect voice that matched the character perfectly as you saw it. Those old games had a huge benefit because they were mostly experienced within the mind's eye.
