What do you want to see in a new Banjo-Kazooie?

well, microsoft, I think you could just accept the fact that the franchise is dead. put these games on steam already and that's about it. these games alongside all the other rareware games that you've been holding ransom for the past 20 years or so.

-all the characters lack recollection of the events following winning the jinjo soccer tournament

-Mumbo has to fill the role of the protagonist
-his abilities are all curses with drawbacks
-he gains his abilities from Wumba who is only willing to give him stuff she doesn't want to have
-boss battles are all characters the cast offended during Banjo-Threeie celebrations
-levels all split off from hubworlds like the theme park
-Conker makes a cameo as a reformed alcoholic who gives life advice in wake of Banjo-Threeie events
-as you complete levels they expand backwards into previous levels as the hubworlds expand organically into a singular massive level

Humor only scales to the present correctly if they are unironically mocking the state of the industry, trannies, etc.
I would be shocked if they made a politically incorrect BK in 2025+ but it only works if politically incorrect.

Banjo has never been politically incorrect. The humor was all just snarky insults and subtle dirty jokes. It's charming, but anyone who says the humor is one of the major reasons people like the game is full of shit.

I want an upscaled 10 floor + several basement floors version of Grunty Industries that takes 12 hours to complete, and I'm dead serious.

I just really hope they don't do remakes BEFORE a new game. We need a new game first, so that you can capitalize on the 20+ year time gap in the actual story of the game. I don't want them to just start over and pretend that no time has passed. Use the extreme time skip to make interesting changes happen to the world and characters

I want a version of Banjo-Tooie that lets you split/recombine from the pause menu so bad bros

There's no hope for a Banjo-Threeie ever being good, especially if Woke For Bob makes it. I can imagine the British banter humor will be replaced with Millennial writing humor and everything will be toned down from the gameplay to the character designs

Rusty Bucket Bay was already the best level in B-K though.

Although I don't think Grunty Industries is the best in Tooie(Witchyworld at least is better), and certainly not better than several B-K levels. Like many Tooie levels, it's a bit too big, empty and featureless, like how the exterior is just one big box. Imagine how much better it would be if it was covered in pipes and machinery that make up intricate platforming challenges. Would have been too much for the N64 is all.

Could any dev pull off making actual diverse use of Banjo and Kazooie's entire existing kit while also adding on to it in a way that feels natural? I kind of think if they really want to make a third game they'll have to bite the bullet and have you lose some moves.

This will never happen but I'd like it if a Banjo-Kazooie game actually did something with the divide between Banjo's niceness and Kazooie's assholery. It doesn't need mechanical integration or even a full-blown Ratchet & Clank character arc or anything, just more conflict between the two and some focus on why they hang out despite their differing demeanors.

They hang out because they get along. Banjo is the nice naive lazy bear that benefits from Kazooie's fierce sarcastic and adventurous attitude and Kazooie appreciates Banjo's softness and kind company. That's why he's literally the only character she never insults in the games. Also they already have a bit of back story, he found her on Breegull Beach and raised her in the GBA game.

Let it go anon. They finally got into smash and Banjo gets some decent romhacks here and there.
They wouldn't do Threeie justice, just like a potential 1999 Castlevania or Elf Wars Megaman X game.
