This game is in the midst of your typical internet revisionism period where everyone is saying the opposite about it compared to what was being said when it came out. Pretty much every culture warrior and gamergate aligned retard was blasting the game for Abby being Ms. Olympia and the whole bait and switch in the middle of the game where you have to play as her. Also all the woke shit, but despite that the game is still almost as solid as the first game. Never trust what the internet says; just play the fucking game and make up your own damn mind.

I hate how Joel is portrayed like a sad sack of shit throughout the second game, even in the flashbacks he is deadly afraid of Ellie hating him and generally being miserable. Nothing like the man at the end of the first one who was 100% convinced of what he did. He can't even defend himself when Ellie presses him.
