The classes and art are cool but it doesn't stand on its own 2 feet. It's just shittier medieval doom, which back when my grandma was the only member of my family with a computer was fucking sick, but now we have real options

In what fucking way is Hexen not like Doom enough to compare them? Are you one of those guys who say Build Engine games are not comparable to doom?
>>718346636 >bro trust me this boomer ass 30 year old game is way better than something released in 2025 with better graphics and more complex gameplay
>>718348839 >Try CoD a while back (not even sure which one because they're all so samey) >Linear levels where you're limited to a small area at any given time >No exploration >Might as well be a rail shooter like House of the Dead or some shit
I'll take a 90s FPS over that dogshit any day

Ye. I played this a ton on my Grandma's PC. She had a demo disk with 100 games on it, and a DOS category. I played this, Doom and Wolfenstein a lot.
If a person starts talking about Hexen being a bad game because it's "impossible without a guide" and "developers didn't signpost anything" other such nonsense I can safely disregard anything they say about any game. Their opinion matters not.

He said gamepass, so no. It's the shitty Nightdive'd Journalist Edition, without true 3d rendering for some reason, which is weird given Nightdive's previous works.
