It is pretty gnarly if you let yourself get to that point. I dropped out of highschool at 16 and up until after I turned 21, I just spent all day every day in my room on my computer. The only time I ever went outside was to go get booze with my mom at, like, 3AM from Safeway because she's cool and would let me drink underaged.
Many great times were had back in the good old days when Minecraft was in beta, WoW was prePandaria, and Warhammer: Age of Reckoning still existed and I could chug Christian brothers' honey brandy while absolutely annihilating faggots with my dark elven sorceress from the battlements on the walls during sieges

About 15 years ago, when I was a teenager, I posted a youtube video but now I can't for the life of me find it. I don't have the same email or account anymore, it's long gone, but I'm positive I never deleted the video.
I decided I wanted to start a let's play channel, and chose Dungeon Keeper for the first playthrough. I forget the exact title, but I included "sparkly bitch slaps" in it. It's was probably something fucking stupid like "Let's Play Dungeon Keeper part 1: Sparkly Bitch Slaps" but AI can't find it for the life of me.
There was never any other videos, I got discouraged when absolutely nobody but my friends watched it. This was back in the days when guys like the yogacast and uberhaxornova were super popular.

There are so many old FPS videos from the late 90's and early 2000's I can't recall the name of or find from attempting to browse the net today, hell even the ones I do remember are buried under 15 pages of absolute garbage on youtube. Just the other day I was attempting to find something far more recent, a couple videos from Battlefield 3/4, and despite digging for nearly an hour through mountains of shit like stream clips and react videos I simply could not find them. The most disappointing thing for me personally is that I cannot seem to find a majority of the Day of Defeat vids I remember from my youth, for some reason those are just fucking gone.

I hate what has happened to gaming and the internet.

The amount of media lost is staggering, both images and videos. Your only hope is for someone to have archived it on their own on YouTube or something. Something that helps me find stuff is to find just one title or old website and then put quotes around it while searching for it in Google. This means that, usually anyway, you'll only get results that match exactly what you type. So you find the titles of a couple old FPS videos, and then maybe one of them leads to a channel on youtube where a guy uploaded many more. Search on the Wayback Machine for old Day of Defeat sites that hosted videos, and then search for that website on Google, even if you know the website is long gone. Maybe there's an archive on Vimeo or some shit where there's dozens of videos with just that website name, but all the videos are what you're looking for. Check archive.org as well.

Not many people remember it but there was a site called stage 6 and at the time it was absolutely mind blowing because of how great the quality was, funny enough the comment section resembled the format youtube uses today.

It apparently went down under because it was too expensive to offer such high video quality at the time so the bandwidth overhead was insane but the wiki also states they had internal drama which was ultimately its true downfall, but regardless if they never had shut down we would not be using youtube as the main media streaming service today it would have easily been stage 6 aka DivX.

It also had zero censorship btw
