I've dumped a good hundred mostly-consecutive hours into this over the past few days. Got it in a Humble Bundle, same as My Time at Portia many years back. Besides the desert setting, some more production value, and streamlining, how does it improve over Portia? IIRC both games are basically nonstop grinding with limited home customization and shallow NPCs. Still gonna play the shit out of it but why did it get so much praise when it was new?
