The one thing that stops Peak from being friendslop is the fact thst it has a win condition: reach the end and get rescued. In the meantime games like Lethal Company, REPO, Headliners and so on are an endless treadmill where there's no winning, you play until you fail. Because multiplayer is deeply woven into the foundation of all video games, and used to be present whenever it was remotely feasible, but in the last 10 years, people have instead tried to strip out and separate it from singleplayer releases as much as possible. It's a lot to get into, but the end result is that co-op modes and experiences that used to be part of most games are now concentrated into more and more standalone releases.

I will say though, it is funny how much spoids hate these games. They got what they wanted with multiplayer being contained to itself, but then complain about how it is contained to itself and thus doesn't feature much in terms of singleplayer. That, paired with how much they obsess over a game not made for them and one they aren't interested in + try the best they can to say the fun they're missing out on isn't valid, reeks of their insecurities and entitlement

If you actually play the games you'll realize they are extremely bad games with no real goal or objective or are full of bullshit because it's supposed to be a funny moment for the streamers.
Or if the game has a online lobby system all the unlocked lobbies are retards who can't understand the password system that kick you instantly.
