Yes. I've got one friend and his local friends that I game with consistently and enjoy the company of, but I find it really hard to connect with other groups.

It's the fact that households used to have one PC in a common area and now everyone has a private PC and a smart phone. How the online space has been moderated has never mattered, only how much parents let their children keep their online activity secret.

Yeah but I think there's a marked difference between Discord basically existing to funnel literally every child that games to pedophiles and roblox publically announcing they're going after people getting pedophiles arrested.
It's not just parenting failing, which it has.

I try but people keep dropping off, I miss having a reliable friend group.
