I beat it in duos and trios, definitely the hardest boss and the most RNG dependent.
Solos looks too easy since there's only 1 summon.
You have at most 4 days to beat it (in multiplayer) before the inevitable pre Gladius giga nerf patch.

I agree, fulghor and Libra are the best 2 for me, caligo was kinda disappointing, they're pretty much identical to phase 2 except purple and an armor break mechanic that usually ends up getting them bullied, and if you do mountaintop at all they're trivial to beat.

Libra is like the opposite of arch tempered augur in that he is extremely dependent on your items. A vyke spear and rancor's call and less likely to be targeted make the boss so much easier, but without them he's a nightmare. I beat him twice last night but only with friends, pubs completely melt with him.

I beat him and still think the fight should be nerfed, the condemned are just too tanky and lethal even before they start getting buffs and once they're buffed up they have too many loadouts that can snipe you from a mile away while you're dealing with something else or just poise through and trade with any attempt you make to kill them.

The fight is chaos and infinitely easier in duos, and a cakewalk solo, but for the first time it can be said unironically: if you didn't beat him in trios you didn't beat the game. His fight is designed specifically for multiplayer trios.

I beat him 6 times with randoms, but lost all day yesterday. I'm always the one dying last and doing the most damage.
I think the fight has a rather large amount of unfair bullshit, but then again he's like the only boss that forces you to think about loot and upgrade you take in game, and carefully think about your relic build, which is good. I wouldn't nerf him per se but I'd boost the HP given by the NPC fragments.

I beat him on my first run, but every other run after has been a disaster, this happened with sentient pest too

I've beaten each more than once, but the first run has always been the smoothest, like "no downs, completed in a couple of minutes" kind of sweep, and every other one has been a grueling grind to the finish
I did laugh at my first everdark Libra run though, because when the match loaded and we were picking characters, me and another guy were on Wylder and didn't want to switch (but 2 Wylders is fine anyway), then the 3rd guy just decided to go Wylder too, and it was an AWESOME run

Kind of, it's pretty clear that they wanted to make his deals a central gimmick/mechanic with his Everdark version through buffs/debuffs, it's just how it was executed that leaves a lot to be desired.
I want to say that at least with the ED versions they are clearly experiment with different gimmicks, though I just wonder how the idea of "let make libra yellow monk on steroids" made it past a board meeting.

Beat in 4 tries in trio, first try whenever I did it solo. Recluse.

Biggest issue I have are that the condemned avoid night spells and I don't think that's good. Gravity explosion deals with the spawns but people can fuck up your succs still in MP which can make it hard to have it always available for the spawns. Plus you also put yourself in hard mode since you really don't want to leave condemned recluse alone, so if you don't shut down your clone your team will hate you.

Update: just had a better run, I spawned on a Noklateo map with an ironeye and duchess and INSTANTLY got the flame of frenzy event near our spawn

by day 3 we were level 15 with full flasks and each had vykes war spear + 3 legendary items each to pick from (I ended up with Dragon King's Cragblade, which was preferable to the giants red braid and axe of godfrey I also had as wylder); we nuked him with vykes until madness kicked in, thens wapped to our legendaries and melted him, then rinse and repeat until dead, it was amazing

It's even better than Vykes for nuking the adds on spawn and from a safe distance. You'll still want a better single target weapon though if you can get it, if not it is still great. It acts like the holy version of the MGS and fires beams with charged R2s. Most of us probably never fucked with it in base game because it is the Elden Beast boss weapon pretty sure.

I've only been able to beat him as revenant, and only twice out of probably 30 runs. I tried all day saturday to beat him as recluse and failed every time out of 10 runs. I will not use melee classes because his madness aura is fucking retarded so I stay away and use casters and I hate everyone who uses ironeye for this fight because everyone in my party dies due to constant arrow spam from condemned ironeyes.

Obviously it depends on the fight but it's the same as heavy versus light attacks or charged heavy versus regular heavy, charged spells are more FP efficient since it's the same cost for more damage but if you don't care about FP and have a window for two regular casts that will usually do more damage than one charged cast.

Revenant is probably the best class for the fight since she's the only one rolling Frenzied Flame incantations in her drop pool. Any AOE incantation makes quick work of the invaders. Having a healing incantation ignores his false blessing level down flask. None of her Invader versions have shields. Only the one with Beast Claw can pose a threat.

Golden Order Seal has a guaranteed Discus of Light on it which is good enough for the boss. If you get Elden Stars or Radagon's Rings of Light even better.

Not at all. Instead of looking for a strong offensive weapon, you're just looking for good passives and support weapons. The storm ruler gives you literally infinite FP regen. Instead of looking for something that hits hard, look for seals with heals or buffs, or weapons with stuff like Golden Order, since you can use them as many times as you'd like.

Three bugs grew on me honestly, the bosses are tanky, aside from Animus, but their moveset is pretty simple.

I play Revenant all the time and I see this incantation once every 100 runs, and that's after checking multiple cathedrals/shacks every run. Also, the animation commitment is way too fucking high and will just get you hit by Libra's AoEs or raped by Condemned spamming skills with Hyper Armor. It does pump damage though, I'll give it that. Triple Rings is way better for this fight, but it's still rare as fuck.

There are 8 normal bosses total, and "beating" the game requires you to do 4 of them. So at the absolute minimum the game can take like 3-4 hours to see the credits.
But in reality not every run will be successful, there are 8 characters that you may want to try out with various bosses, then there are short story quests for each of the characters, that sometimes require you to do a full run as well, and then there are the gigganigga everdark versions of the bosses for extra challenge. So in reality you're probably looking at around 100 hours if you're interested in completing everything and playing around a bit. Plus there is some new challenge/ranked mode coming soon, but I haven't looked into it too much so I'm not sure how will it work exactly.

Randoms are (generally) pretty good in Nightreign though, so you can eek a lot more fun out of it doing pub trios. Condemned DO reward you with a moderate amount of healing and a temporary buff, which stacks for each kill (lasts 30 or 45 seconds). You have to pick up the bigger version of Libra's gold shards that heal frenzy.

Earlier versions of the boss, that heal was 50% of your HP, and there was only ever one Condemned per player at a time (+1 if he "incites a riot", but that one disappeared after 50 seconds). Note that if he (re-)summons while Condemned are still alive, the existing Condemned are healed and buffed. The buff stacks infinitely and permanently.

So basically they made the boss significantly harder when they released it vs earlier versions. Maybe too many people complaining about certain everdarks being too easy. Sounds like how D3 "doubled it" to me.

Then you'll hate it. Nightreign fails at being a rougelite so badly fromdrones had to cope with "they never actually used the words rouguelite in marketing". Runs don't feel like you're creating a new build but more like hoping the game RNGs you something playable. If you don't mind a spoiler on how the game actually works there is no procedural generation, there's just 50 or so presets of the map and the game gives you one at random

The nightlords and the nightfarers(classes) are easily the best part of the game imo, I just wish the arenas for the main bosses weren't just desert plains, as it would've added even more to their personality if each a different one.

No, their gear was like what you fight in the night invader camps. Mostly starter gear with a few consumables. Not threatening at all, so the buffs/healing existed to make them harder.

I haven't figured out how to kill it. I first tried every everdark boss solo and trio, but I legit can't find a way to kill Libra. I even had a duo run where we played perfectly, didn't die once, level 15 before night 2, castle fully cleared, both of us had vyke's spear from the frenzy tower event and we still died when Libra still had 30% hp left. It's insane. I just gave up after that, I'll wait for the inevitable nerfed version lol.

I always keep my inventory nice and clean. 1 or 2 weapons tops, rest of the slots empty. By the way, not many people know this, but you get runes from running around. I usually split up from my team mates and just run from church to church. I randomly get runes and usually have enough to level up to lvl 7 by the end of day 1.

You really need to keep an eye on Libra all the time in case he starts casting one of his trillion AoE attacks, but other than that it's best to focus the condemned as fast as possible. If you have good ashes of war with some AoE you might be able to get them all quickly. Vyke's is fantastic for that reason as well - the condemned can get madness procs.
Would recommend fighting him solo first, he summons fewer people so it's a bit more managable, and easier to figure out what's going on.

it took me 11 tries, the first 5 was a trio of me and my friends, the last 6 was me and my regular duo friend.
it took me getting the grafted blade with 70 stacks

we did have 1 really close run as a trio but my friends aren't that good and when we got the boss down to its last >10% my idiot buddy decide to try and get our 3 bars downed friend up

gnoster is by far the easiest for me, the moth can't even hit you with projectiles if you put the scorpion between you
the scorpions moves are telegraphed by so much that you should only get hit if you're being lazy and not focusing on the game

the big raging stomp attack before the animus moth leaves the scorpion is really easy to dodge too because it does a set attack pattern
if you stand behind where it starts the combo you can easily roll away from its damage as it turns to hit the floor

I did a few runs, checked the relic, and decided I didn't care to get a successful one. The reward sucks and more importantly it's just not fun. I enjoyed doing auger and pest the first time, even if I wouldnt do them again. Libra was annoying from the word go and never got better.

Maybe I'll give solo a shot but honestly I'm not sure I care.
