A huge portion of playing TH is about using bombs effectively. There is even a couple of frames AFTER you get hit where you can still use a bomb. I managed to 1cc eosd after practicing bombs more. Also try to get high score because that gives you extra lives, it's more important than it looks.
And there is practice mode in the menu for specific stages.
