What I've come to learn is that early access is literally just what the game is, but even rougher and worse than a usual release.

You never get an actual improvement post-early access. It's just some gloss and glowers. None of the promises are followed through. It just turns into a 'fund my lifestyle while I never actually finish anything' scam.

Basically as soon as people get money, they stop putting in effort. I think this is why major publishers roll out payments according to milestones met, rather than promises made. The public however, is more naive and starry eyed and love to throw money at promises and pretty pictures, rather than real achievements.

There are exceptions to this, ie. AOTS used EA exceptionally well and polished the shit out of the game before releasing it on schedule.


But the thing is, even in EA with this game you could instantly tell its a high quality vertical slice thats missing more content -- not overall mechanics/level of quality -- and so it was just matter of time to add said content to already brilliant core game.

Played early access supraworld yesterday and it feels like the god intended way to play it. I think bug games should be drip fed to gamers or else you dont appreciate it, overconsume it, and feel bloated and too saturated after the gaming session. I wish elden ring was like 3 smaller games

in fact the dev only does 1 update per year and it's less than an average tranny modder adds to the game every 3 weeks
The game also never shored up nor developed any good core gameplay foundations past what it released with to begin with, 12 years ago

Man, just yesterday I was looking through my bookmarks and found some twitter dev I had saved to look for in the future. Here we are around 4 years in the future, and he had recently said he was like halfway done or something. Had to just delete the bookmark.
