I actually liked her romance a lot. Considering Eldar generally compare themselves with humanity as we would compare ourselves with a dog you have to build up a personal, mutual trust not between races, but as individuals.

You're not just there to fuck an exotic species, you're trying to prove to her that you can, in fact, have common ground despite your differences and you're willing to learn from each other.
She consistently asks you questions about human traits (mostly with an air of superiority but what Eldar doesn't?) and you in turn can learn about meditation and being at peace in the warp.

Eventually in the future she might agree to some form of actual intercourse with your RT, but the main point in the game was a deep emotional connection and trust that beats out anything or anyone else in the game because you have to work for it and want it.

I'm giving Owlcat too much credit, but that's generally what I got out of the romance.

Yes they are fighting, but it's a desperate losing fight at the brink of extinction. They are not "procceding to fight it off". Also going back to your headcanon, it was never confirmed that chaos caused the ai rebellion and during that time humanity was way less psychically sensitive. Navigators were created during thedark age of technology and were always necessary for long ranged and accurate warp travel, but warp travel is still possible without them. Warp travel was impossible during the age of strife because of slaanesh. And the emperor didn't just happen, he's been around since prehistory. Humanity is currently the main focus of chaos not because we are so evil (though the current state of the imperium doesn't help), but because we are the most numerous psychically sensitive race since the eldar empire imploded and took most of the knife ears with it. And we don't have an built in protection against chaos like the orks or some monstrous hive mind smothering it like nids. If we were gone the tau would be the next on the chopping, notice how the input of the eldar is barely relevant.

I could agree with this, but there has to be some sort of payoff. IfThe le tragedy endings is a big fucking mistake they need to rectify in DLC, much like if you spend all that time building a bond with her. lets not forget that most of Humanity has been told to treat Aeldari as evil Xenos that created a chaos god , so both sides have something to learn with individuals reaching across the universe to learn to connect with a person who had completely different experiences etc. So let that come to some satisfying conclusion that isn't either LE BIG SAD TWEEST or I AM HOLDING THE MONKEY'S PAW IT MUST BE REALLY HAPPY.
