DotAge, finished my 2nd run(after restarting my 1st) yesterday. Doesn't really feel that fun and i dont like the building progression. But i'm going to give it a last chance,with this 3rd run.

Basically Australian Black Mesa/SCP foundation has a resonance cascade and you're a scientist stuck there trying to escape. You explore a big interconnected facility, fight and hide from monsters and soldiers, make sciency weapons out of all the random shit you find lying around, and visit extradimensional portal worlds. The atmosphere is really good and there's loads of interesting recordings, terminal entries, etc, to find if you play at a slow pace, but you can also play co-op which replaces all that with extreme shenanigans. I'd highly recommend it, but you should know that there's a decent bit of backtracking and grinding (not much in singleplayer, lots more in a big group), the enemies get pretty spongy in the late game, and it's an Unreal Engine 5 game so it will make your PC chug for no reason.

I'm on vacation, so I don't play video games much right now. Some Uma Musume later and I finished FFX a week ago and tried FFX-2 but I wasn't feeling it, so I guess I won't finish it. FFX was kino, though.

I just finished Eviternity 2 (a Doom mod), so I'm going to pick up another mod: Shaky Grounds for Duke 3D.

I replay one of the Harvest Moon titles whenever I finish a long string of vidya, either one whole franchise or a bunch of games in one genre, as a palate cleanser, so right now it's Tree of Tranquility. It's very comfy.

It depends on why you like HM/SoS. Grand Bazaar is on the gimmickier side and kinda feels like someone smashed Animal Crossing and Recettear together and then tried to fit it into Harvest Moon, but it works pretty well for what it is.
Their newer Switch titles in general aren't great desu, but their remakes are functional and they've clearly been listening to feedback as they go since they've hammered out most of the changes people were upset about for GB. It's worth a shot, but demo the original on an emulator first just in case.

Just finished my New Vegas playthrough. I'm now going to start playing Black Souls since that game dropped on Stem not too long ago. I'm also play a bit of Mortal Kombat : Deadly Alliance on the side since I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about it right now.

NTA I played tons of the PS1 and GBA Harvest Moon games, like a least 500 hours each, years later I tried some of the DS ones but despite looking cute and everything they didn't stick with me so I never played them a lot, that is until I tried Rune Factory 3, that one reignited my fire like the old days, RF3 and 4 were my modern day equivalent to BtN and FoMT.

The original Story of Seasons on 3DS is one of my favorites. Not sure why. It's just a comfy setting and I vaguely remember there being some sort of competition that allowed you to win better farming plots for a season or something? I thought that was neat

It's really straightforward, first Rune Factory 3, then Rune Factory 4 (special edition is recommended for RF4 because it takes away a single annoying aspect in the original)

Optional: RF Frontier is good if you use the runes mod, there's a solid game in there but the system bogs it down. RF Guardians of Azuma is a fun experimental spin-off, different from the usual Harvest Moon loop but worth playing.

I don't know where you are, but I was in a rough situation (kind of still am, but still) and I just started telling myself I'd start looking for job openings on one day of the week, grind at it for an hour or so and send a bunch of shit at once. Eventually they bite, just have to find a good site that lists decent stuff. Worst case go for something barely bearably shitty and keep looking for stuff so you can get out of there, but I hope you don't need to do that. Gambatte.
