is there any solid single player game with a meaningful, fun, balanced implementation of mecha combined with on-foot / light vehicle combat? anywhere on the action-rpg spectrum is fine, turn based is fine but note, ive played xenogears already.

but even xenogears, where you can have two party members fighting infantry on foot and a third in a mech battling another mech, even this doesn't have what i am ideally looking for:

i want to play the game where you can be in the middle of mecha combat, eject from the cock pit and attempt to hijack the enemy mech, maybe even now the fight transitions to hand to hand between the pilots. any games like that?

starwars battlefront had some shit like this but star wars vehicles always just feel like they're on strings like in the movies, nothing like a gnarly mech.

Let's be fair here, the fanbase was also asking for the same thing despite the more sensible people telling them it's going to fuck up all the art because PGI, even if it wanted to do more than a minimum viable product, would still have to take the most ugly but cheap way out to satisfy the requirement of bajillion different combinations that the game allows to spit out for each mech model.

But the fact that PGI is still continuing to make more D-grade Mechwarrior titles says all you need to know about the mental capacity of the playerbase.

Ranked is all about meta
Everything above low A rank is either filled with either lammrats, ping abusing melees and dual zimmerman shitters who can only play an overtuned weapon with zero counterplay.

Customs, on the other hand, are filled with people who will actively kick you if you have even a single meta part equipped.
My first ever pvp game was against some streamer who is almost always live and hosting customs.
I beat him two nil with my shitty light and now every time I join he kicks me.
Fun builds are actually almost impossible to play with right now. Even I had to switch one of my weapons to a melee after getting to S rank.
Lets hope that if/when dlc comes out, it will curbstomp all the zimmer and lamm niggers ruthlessly.

What armament could you use on a mech that wouldn't work on a tank, and don't fucking say a sword. There are almost no real world scenarios where a tank thats walking has any advantage over a tank with wheels. whereas there are tons of reasons why a walker is impractical. Not the least of which is cost. It wouldn't be enough to be as good as a tank, one walker would need to be better than multiple tanks to justify the costs of construction and upkeep.

It's a good game, but it doesn't appeal to most hardcore mecha fags due to it being a hero shooter with little customization outside of the extraction mode. It also didn't sit well with waifu fags because they paywalled and removed customization options. For example, in the previous betas you could make custom eye colors or makeup colors, this was removed in the launch version in favor of locking eye colors and such in a weekly random rotating store.
There's also melee being insanely oppressive for 2 of the major melee Mechs. Welkin being nigh unkillable unless they're literal beginners to the game, and Stellaris being an annoying little shit with so many ways to escape it can take a third of the match just to kill a half decent one.
Also PvE days are constantly seething because there is no PvE, and now they actually added some PvE but it's a weekly limit of 3, has no matchmaking so you have to bring a premade squad of these just to even do it. Also it's an event so I think that it will go away eventually too.

Finished AC6 last month. I liked the story and art direction but didn't really enjoy the gameplay. Are any of the other ACs worth checking out? To be specific, I didn't care for emphasis on stunning enemies. There was only 2 or 3 times (in the 1st playthrough) where I actually felt the need to use the environment to my advantage because the optimal strategy is always riding the bosses asses and doing boost kicks.
