Summerfags and getting filtered by Fallout.
Literally every single year without fail.

Get you agility to at least 9 and perception around 8. Take small guns and get the .223 pistol as soon as possible, it pierces armor which pretty much sets you up for the rest of the game. Picking up Ian in Shady Sands as a companion will help in the early game but you might get sprayed down by him on accident.

Don’t listen to this faggot. Just play 3/FNV/4
Fallout Classic is overrated shit. Only contrarians want you to play it. Pillars of Eternity 2 and Tyranny mog Fallout. Hell, Wasteland 3 mogs Fallout.

You play 3 and 4 when you've totally given up and want to be publicly known as a failure. You won't fully appreciate NV if you haven't played 1 and 2.

its a point and click adventure with turn based combat. unfortunately the graphics do not hold up so the pointing and clicking part is actually more difficult. for example, the first item you need to get down into the first vault is a rope. you can either buy it from a vendor, find some laying around in shady sands or there is one already in the vault. unfortunately the one in the vault and the two in shady sands are so hard to see because of the graphics, meaning you really have to buy it.

>>718400772
and unfortunately this anon is correct, there is one "correct" build that will get you through most of the game pretty easily, kind of takes away the whole role playing aspect

Only a loser cares what other people think. 3 is the reboot of the franchise that gives the quick primer for FNV. Nobody gives a shit what Hbombercommie or /v/ posters think.

The original Fallout games are pretty shit. Yeah the worldbuilding and writing are cool, but that's just about the sole thing they have going for them.
CRPGs from the 1990s were just ass to play. They controlled like shit, you never knew what to do, and the difficulty is so bullshit that you actually can't pull off many different builds in those games.

Ironically Fallout 4 has better viable build variety than 1 or 2.

What the fuck are you talking about, it takes 5 minutes to get used to the controls and you can always lower the difficulty to the point of every build being viable, I genuinely don't know what could be stumping you in Fallout 1 or 2

It's not complicated though, not in the least, it has maybe one extra step to it compared to the 3D games and the step is the equivalent of "walking is now in VATS too"

so? it's still a bad mentality to have. I can understand if you made the argument "I don't find the gameplay appealing" or "the control scheme is janky", but giving up because you feel overwhelmed by something?

So it's not just me that has a problem with FO1 and FO2, that gets bored as hell playing them and that doesn't understand what to do, for they hadn't neither put a quest tracking window on that games. You just proceed without knowing if you're missing something, any side quest etc. They need a serious remake

??
>You just proceed without knowing if you're missing something, any side quest etc
Then be more thorough, the game doesn't need to hold your hand and you don't NEED to beat every side quest, leave something for the replay
Anonymous No.718406648
That's normal, games from that time were like that. You push forward and learn. Learning the world was part of the game.
Games nowadays do everything to accommodate you, they do so much, it pisses people off sometimes.

NTA, I was a consol fag but I don't remember ever patching my few computer games? Civ 4 needed it but Civ 3 didn't, or BG1&2?
We're we supposed to be patching in the 2000's?

Seriously a great game. The overall story is good, but the game mechanics aged like milk.
Some modders was trying to remake it on FO4 engine, but grown tired and left it incompleted.

No, I got tired almost immediately and downloaded a trainer. I was just playing it to see the story and the going sightseeing the major cities, in order to have a clue when they are cited, what they're talking about. I didn't played it for the grinding and all the slow-hell combat mode.

I'm pretty sure you can play through almost the entire game with just left and right click. It's not as hard as it seems. Just read the relevant part of the manual please be able to navigate a table of contents please
