Even backtracking would be fine, make them otherworld levels, but having unkillable walter and ghosts fucking chasing you 24/7 just ruined it. SH is supposed to be a slow burn methodical horror in contrast to the mainstream 'the chainsaw guy is chasing me' thriller horror.

It's the one game where every single aspect of it unrelated to actually playing it (and the enemy audio, can't defend that) is fucking stellar. The ideas are great, actually playing through them fucking sucks. I love the little details and worldbuilding everywhere in the game, like every ghost victim having a discernible identity told through documents and the environment and all the little stories surrounding the apartment's tenants, it's great stuff.
