The platforming took such a huge back seat it killed it for me. An excess of invisible walls and death planes on top of no crouch hops, dashes, or other crazy movement options just made getting around feel lackluster. Couple that with the rifts just being a slingshot teleport with no fun, momentum based swinging.
Guns didn't seem to fix my main issue of to many Zurkon style buddies/weapons that you fire and forget before rotating to a pistol or whatever.
I also don't understand the point of having two player characters that share the exact same weapon list, tools, and movement styles. Real missed oppurtunity for some interesting exploration or something.
