Dunno anything about left other than
>inb4 hurf durf feggtz git off mai vidyer
But Wyll had probably the least engaging story of the whole group.
He randomly drops in on your party, grandstands, and then fucks off into the camp.
His only other exposition or interaction you have is that he needs to kill someone that eventually turns out to be another potential party member (Karlach), and one that clearly isn't the horrible child-eating monster that he so adamantly declares her to be.
THEN we find out he's a demon's bitch and is getting jerked around by contract small print fuckery
So, now we're likely a good 1/4 to 1/3 of the way through the first act and all we know is:
>He's a showoff that likes to present himself as a paragon of good against evil
>His power is derived from probably the worst possible place it could come from for having such a upstanding view of himself. Since Mizora can force him to do evil-aligned shit.
>He's clearly naive, or at the very least optimistic to a stupid degree, since even though he is supposedly well aware of demon contracts and their fuckery, still thinks that Mizora wouldn't absolutely play him for her gain like she did with sending him to chase after Karlach at Zariel's behest.
Top that off with the whole Duke Ravenguard plot, which really has 0 bearing on or investment in the party's journey outside of some extra good-boy notches on the belt, but is obviously very important to Wyll. But at the same time, you can complete the entire questline with no negative impact without even needing Wyll in the party, or even your camp at all, for that matter. You can essentially resolve all of his bullshit as side tasks for the party you actually want to run with, with 0 consequence. Just imagine Shart, but with Act 2 completely removed. That's Wyll.
