Even noguns know that's a fucking UMP at a glance.
Also, there really wouldn't be any sort of non map related skill progression involved in the game if it wasn't for the exaggerated, patterned recoil you can learn.
First you get good with tapping, then you get good with bursts, then you hone your aim until you can reliably one tap heads and then you learn recoil patterns to reliably mow everyone down fast, and the skill gap between all of these stages is huge.
Now imagine if the game had realistic recoil, they would be getting rid of one of the 4 large measures of skill in the game, you'd pretty much only have reaction times, map knowledge and utility lineups left and reaction times you can't really train past a certain point and the 2 others are map related.
