Anyway I think Prime 2 could hit Nintendo Classics soon-ish. I love metroid and I'm not dooming, I'm assuming it just comes out sometime in the holiday season.
But it does feel different from back in the day when metroid was a seemingly dead franchise. I was hopeful for metroid every direct but wasn't expecting it.

Dread was certainly a very pleasant surprise at E3 2021, not to mention the remaster of Prime 1 two years later. Now we don't even know if they're remastering 2 and 3, the only Metroid thing on the horizon is Prime 4, and god knows if it's going to make its projected release window at this point
