Well as a kid being able to play like 100 something characters from your favorite anime was amazing, even if most characters feel pretty samey besides their special moves
Its a good time but not incredibly deep or anything

every 3d arena fighter that came out exists because this was so good
the attention to detail is also insane, tons and tons and tons of subtle references to the anime if you try to do specific interactions.
and the sense of power and speed was pretty unmatched on the ps2. Looking backwards it doesnt seem impressive because so much came after it, but at the time it was THE shit
