Now that the dust has settled, is it possible to salvage this game with mods?

are there total conversion mods of it?
Anonymous No.718430223

it would be the only way
i think they rely on modders more and more now to finish their games

a good conversion mod would be making the game just a sandbox. the few hours i had fun with the game were in the sandbox game mode and everytime i found a quest, it was the most boring ever quest ever

At this point just give the source code away and it might be salvageable, or it might give someone a brain aneurysm once they see the spaghetti.

What mods? Even they want nothing to do with this "game"

Have they added a survival mode yet? That would get me to reinstall.

You guys ready for the engoodening?

I have like 50 mods installed and I say no. its a placebo.

Not with any mods that currently exist. The problem with starfield is that there's no singular part of it that's good enough to enjoy. Skyrim was a solid vanilla game that happened to be the perfect sandbox for modding. Starfield doesn't have that at all. There's nothing to build off of. You would need to alter the game itself, not mod it. >>718431240 is right. Giving the source code out is the only thing left to do. It probably wouldn't even be a bad business move because if people modify it into something good, the IP will gain value. I can't imagine they're earning much in sales at this point.

yes, but nobody that's skilled wants to work on it

they added a bunch of difficulty modifiers so you have to make it yourself

Can I make it so that I'm forced to eat, drink and sleep or I die? Also is there a perma death setting?
Anonymous No.718437121 >>718437349

every bethesda game is way too buggy to enforce a permadeath mode without a mod or just self control to delete/stop your save

You mean to tell me Bethesda has yet to pull this game from stores out of pure embarrassment?

No. There's a Star Wars total conversion that tries to fix a lot of the issues and several things are too baked in to fix (at least so far).

The game is terminally boring and retarded. Makes Skyrim seem like a masterpiece of lore and worldbuilding. The lore is boring, and stupid. The characters are boring, and stupid. The quests are boring, and stupid. The factions are boring, and stupid.

Yes, the problem with Starfield was that it wasn't tedious enough. If I had to move slower through the empty worlds stopping to do chores it would be so much better.
