Seriously though. You think you've got a cool pet that doubles as a gun, but then it grows into an alien warrior, and now you've got to raise an adopted alien child. And while that's happening the world is falling apart because of three alien invasions happening simultaneously.

I do think it's pretty neat that they went through the extra steps of giving them their own callouts and chatter. Makes them feel a little more like a military of sorts.

Yeah similar to Xen creatures, but some of them have this main theme of being these bug-like, one-eyed aliens, which is more similar to each other than their Xen counterparts.

Other than Voltigore and Pit Drones which are seen as Shock Trooper's version of attack dogs, most of Race X appears to be a part of an identical life cycle.
