The story in the game. Read the in-game comics. It's all there. I'm not saying it's a good story, and I'm not saying it's smart to delay playable characters for the sake of your story - I'm just telling you what is happening. Doom has been prominently featured in the story since Season 0 - he's definitely coming as a playable character, but it won't be until they "do" whatever it is they plan on "doing" with his story. Just like Ultron, just like the F4, he's going to have a big "season" dedicated to him and then he'll be playable.

Vanguard needed a woman, and Support needed Ultron. that's part of why both characters are strong and resistant to nerfs. i took a break again *this* season because double Duelist does nothing for me. the player base is always going to fluctuate a bit depending on the upcoming characters. Emma and Ultron didn't kick start any sort of downfall.
