Why are all detective games consistently retarded and frustrating with stuff like this?
I get that it's impossible to guess every player's potential thought process, but isn't that a reason to be more lenient with the solutions accepted rather than extremely specific?

It's a general problem with adventure games where the player's line of reasoning and logic can be completely at odds with the developer. It's not rubber chicken with pulley-tier but it's also why you shouldn't feel bad about looking up a guide if you're stuck beyond the point where it's fun because a hell of a lot of the time it WILL be something stupid

If the game encourages them then why not just make the info available within the game? Why do I have to use an outside source for the solution? What if I donβt have access to such guides, am I just fucked?

BoI is the absolute worst offender but there are others

The only Fromslop I've ignored is Nightreign and I shouldn't even ignore it because I could play my friend's shared copy of it but I don't out of spite because if I start to play it and love it then I'll want to play it teamed up which means I'd need to buy my own goddamn copy, as you can see this is a disaster

Heh.
Your information is out of date Anon.
The jannies released a revised autopsy report of that link this morning.
The webpage it leads to contains no information about the game.
It leads a blank page with the word 'NIGGER' printed in Comic Sans Bold 108552 times.
I verified it personally.
