Something I find humorous is that regardless of how much money a person has, this website doesn't change. Everyone has to suffer if they come here. That helps me cope with not having money.

The only tool that we could hope to quell some of the faggotry is to stop phoneposting. This site should only be for grognards on desktop.

I put in like 50 hours every month, and I still think the requirement is stupid. Video games are escapism and not homework; Nobody should be forced to play them.
If you force people to play video games, the only people who benefit are game devs. However, if you tell people they're allowed to not play, then games have to actually be good.

This is a very naive point of view. It is true in the strict sense that if you snapped your fingers and suddenly 4chan got top-notch moderation tomorrow the user base would not change, but the current user base treating 4chan as their designated shitting street is a result of trash & garbage moderation that failed to enforce any sort of level of quality over many, many years now. Yeah you can't turn it around in the blink of an eye because it took an extremely long time to get this bad too, but more effective moderation while not being too heavy handed would have most certainly helped over the last like 10-15 years. Maybe it's too late entirely now.
