Honestly an open world Wolverine game sounds awful. Atleast with Spider-Man you can swing across the city at high speeds, what can Wolverine do?

Marvel's era is over. 2008-2019 was their time and it was hype, but now people are tired of the same slop for over a decade. The same thing happened with FromSoft. You can't expect people to eat the same slop for eternity. Tastes change and it's time to move on. I played all leaked builds and this shit plays like nu God of War mod. There were games that tried to ape nu GoW like Evil West and some others but this one was legit too close design wise to it and feel. Wolverine is supposed to be agile character with movement options not a tank totem ala Kratos. A fact that kind of design went over pre-production is grim as fuck they either really wanted to or are still making a nu GoW clone. Another red flag is how they already plan to sideline Logan in his first game and further.

Reminder that their PC port runs better than patched official port by Nixxes despite looking almost 1:1 it just has lower LoD overall because they didnt retouched assets and lacks raytracing.

It was in development hell and got development rebooted like last year so WB decided to just nuke the project. Similar with that Black Panther game where game was in pre-production for 4 years and they moved to new offices to finally start actually making the game like two months before EA nuked that game too lol. Its pretty insane how licensed capeslop games had longer pre production cycles than brand new AAA IPs.
