Started playing it recently.
Transferred my 3ds save to PC so now I can play with hi-res texture pack, 60 fps, and for the godawful gathering quests a 5x speed toggle.

For low rank you can use bullying mixed with jaggi for attack up L at least.
After that its crab all the way for most weapons.
I was gonna use the dreadking rath set for high rank but fighting that thing made me want to kill myself.

World is easier to play since it runs on pretty much any third-world -tier PC, PS4, PS5 and Xboxes (maybe?).
Meanwhile GU runs only on Switch systems. Plus GU is closer to old MH, which has the hoe-scaring gameplay fully intact.

I feel you. If you are so inclined you can do ratholos in high rank and glavenus in g rank (or vice versa) so at least that way you won't have to see the blue crab until you have to farm the jhocena set

I wish mh was better about balancing armours. There's always one set that eclipses everything else for 90% of the game.
Its impossible to make everything good and there's always gonna be a meta but there has to be a better way of doing things.

I really wanted gu on pc just for multiplayer and the ability to easily able to map custom quest but if they can't even make a 60fps patch for switch 2 then i don't think they will ever port it on pc
