He's not wrong, but I don't think the horny was what made them great. I think it was a byproduct of the greatness. Those old great games were made by people who were early adopters of computers and were passionate about computers and fiction. Basically the entire RPG genre was built on the foundations laid by D&D nerds trying to make a computer game version of their campaigns. A lot of them also happened to be horny.

Yeah.
It was mostly marketing that pushed for it, sex sells was huge in the 90's and 00's.
For example, the sexy part of tomb raider wasnt the ideas of the devs even more so the pin up shit marketing.
I know this goes against most virgin views, but the only reason sex is in games is too sell it to teens/incels, not a devs expression
