Who do you think is going to get cut in the 5th iteration of the Smash series? Strong take here, but I feel they are definitely going to cut Pikachu. Ever since they've phased out Ash from the main series they've been trying to distance themselves with Pikachu as the mascot, but I wanna hear what you guys think. Will they make the ultimate statement by removing Pikachu and have Pokemon trainer up at the forefront for the series instead?

I think the roster bloat is so ingrained as a selling point that they won’t cut anyone. At most they’ll make some less popular fighters paid DLC. Brawl had the perfect roster size but we’ll never see anything that small again

That YouTuber is right though. It's been 8 years. Mario is becoming more of a multi-media mascot and not much of a video game character. Did you see that shit they're making for toddlers? Samurai focuses on video game characters though, so if he's being phased out as one save for the spinoffs, then he may be on his way out.

I bought Ultimate and played it for like 10 minutes and never touched it again when I realized it plays exactly like a poorly sped-up Tr4sh. They need to rip out the foundations and start over on the next one or it’ll keep being shit
