They come bundled together unless you for some insane reason get it on PS4. But if you're still gonna play only one, Cyber Sleuth came first and HM kinda expects you to know the broad story beats of it as it fills in the gaps and the backdrop.

I really dislike how in most digimon games it feels like you either reach the highest evolution stage or you don't do anything at all. It makes like 70% of the available digimon useless. I wish the games had a better system to make earlier evolution stages more useful.

They already do, it's called degeneration. Even babies digimon can have all 999 stats if you're dedicated enough. In Dawn/Dusk the overseer for your Platinum rank is Imperialdramon Paladin Mode and 2 babies lol. You can make any digimon strong enough because stats accumulate.

The 3DS remake of DQM1 is meh, DQM2's remake is pretty good, I haven't played Joker 3 yet, and DQM3 is ok but not as good as the older entries.
