Today I'm playing Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives, released in 2014 for 3,980 yen, back when games were still fun an affordable. M2 went above and beyond bringing these Sega classics back in full stereoscopic 3D with tons of graphics and control options.

My OG 3DS had both D-pad sticker and the stick cap fall off this year, possibly due to glue drying up. Nintendium my ass. My eyes aren't what they're used to be and I considered picking up either of the XLs second-hand but I think I'll just finish KI:U on this one and move on to emulating the rest.

New 3DS only?

Trying to buy a regular New 3DS sucks so much.

OP here. The game menus are only in Japanese. This is not like the Switch, where the console language affects your games, as there is region locking. However, you can select the English version of the games to play in English without any issues! M2 already knew that many fans in the West would import physical copies and always pay attention to these details.

no, the japanese text will display in japanese
if the game has an english language mode (such as Bravely Default - For The Sequel) it might read your system and switch to english automatically, or it may require you to edit a file on your 3ds or use Luma Locale Switcher

Yes, without any issues. Japanese text will display in Japanese no problem. I'm playing it right now with my hacked new 3DS with the system menu set in English.

3d on 3ds is lame. Sure it is glass free but once you tasted NVIDIA 3d Vision you can never go back. The resolution on the 3ds is too low. Depth slider amplitude is barely noticable. On pc you can adjust the convergence on top of the depth. It's really great and immersive.
I haven't tried pcvr but I'm sure the 3d effect is miles ahead of the 3ds too.

They exist. Samsung and Acer came out with 27" monitors. Too bad they're both 2000 fucking dollars

I hope it's not a permanent change. That one display case was kind of pathetic. The second floor used to be packed with more displays and merchandise. And in the 3ds days they had a coffee table to play demo 3ds systems on the 1st.

Wow that sucks. The last time I was in New York was in 2019 and they still had the Gulf War Game Boy and the display case with a bunch of old Japanese consoles and Pong clones.

Anyonr got any neat DS games for me to check out. I emulated both Tingle games on mine and their really so.much better than they have any right to be

Something had happened to my 3DS years ago and only a couple of days later I somehow managed to win the MH version out of one of those keyhole games.
Best $20 I ever spent.

Was anyone stupid enough to try getting one of those extended batteries to work on the N2DSXL?

My most engaging visits here were during a promotional event where they handed out scroll posters for Muramasa:The Demon Blade, one where it was busy and I bought a Serperior plush, and another where people were playing ARMS on the second floor. My last couple visits to NYC I browsed merch for a bit and left without buying anything.
