As an eastern european living in a country that is highlighted in the image, I can guarantee that "cheek kissing" is NOT as common as this makes it seem. Especially outside of family circles.

Italian here. We don't use it to "greet people", we use it when meeting up with old friends and relatives who we hadn't seen in a while

Yeah. It used to be more common, especially in family circles, but it almost entirely died out where I live. Although I don't really see why, there isn't really anything horrible with is considering it was most common only to-/for female relatives.
