I've heard the director wanted to do that before release, but got talked out of it. Supposedly being Chinese AND a creative director he's very out of touch with reality.
Seeing how many chingchong skins and events for AMERICAN heroes they put in the game, I can totally see it still happening in the future though.

Didn't we already have one of those? Or were they just unrelated events and cash shop skins? I don't think I can survive a whole season.
I actually caved in and got the pass for this season. The symbiote skins are just too aesthetic. With the gold from the previous seasons saved, it almost pays for itself.
