>I've seen the "buyed/boughted" meme and I just assume it's a meme
You shouldn't, though, and it's easy to support it logically:
20 years ago, the internet was full of intelligent white people who spoke English. It wasn't available in shithole third world nations because it was new and expensive. It was exclusive. When typos became internet memes 20 years ago it was because one intelligent white person was being silly and other intelligent white people thought it was funny. It was all genuine.
Flash forward 20 years. The internet is cheap now. Any shithole country with its shithole people can access it. The people of thee shitholes thrive on scamming each other - their cultures are all built on lies and deception. And, most importantly, they struggle with English. So now when you see a grammatical error a few times, it's not because it's a meme, it's because you're in a den of non-English-speaking thirdies who are trying to deceive you into thinking that they're intelligent white people having a giggle.
Don't be deceived. You're better than that.
