Its always a good idea to experience the original unless its somehow massively broken. Experiencing the tone shift of the mansion (going from looking like an actual mansion to a grimdark gothic look) alone is worthwhile as is the comical voice direction

Also, the REmake is good but it has unnecessary padding that make some parts a slog compared to the original
