Even if they got remasters (they won't) they definitely would not be switch 2 exclusives. Bamco is a corporation, they aren't going to just leave money on the table by cutting out PS5 and PC sales.
iirc "Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und BΓΆse" had the record fro the longest video game title until "Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie"
or something like that

I'll buy them when they get remade from scratch and with its story told how the original creators wanted it to be told before Namco butted in and butchered it.
Until then, Xenosaga is a failure and a dead series.

probably never, it's a niche franchise and everybody interested in playing them either bought a copy or emulated them years ago, remasters wouldn't be profitable
>>718484218 >Why are those switch exclusives?
Xenoblade is co-owned by Nintendo since they funded and directly supported its development. and they have since outright purchased monolith soft.
Xenoblade 1 was actually going to be a stand alone JRPG and it was iwata who suggested making it a part of the "xeno" meta series >>718484375
only a new entry or getting into smash would properly revive xenosaga
>>718480427 >original was a low budget game which got its budget cut down even more >original is known for having plenty of cut content cause of this >original has literal unfinished things in it like partially missing voiced dialogue >part of the story in the original had to be changed near the end of the development cause of something that had to be cut but was meant to be a big part of the main story >game is still on the same deadline >due to this taking most of the remaining devtime, the main gameplay loop which was meant to be refined during this time was instead left in its rough state simply cause it was still considered playable >due to all of the above, the story in the original feels like stuff is missing, the ending is rushed, and the gameplay feels clunky and dated even for the time it came out >remake is done by the original devs with a much higher budget >remake fixes all the issues from the original >remake restores all cut content >remake restores the original story >remake keeps all the smal details and nuances the original had, keeping its soul
yeah there are exceptions to that

I would buy a Switch 2 for that, but we all know that's never going to happen. It's a shame more people haven't played this series (or gotten past Xenosaga 2), because Xenosaga 3 is peak JRPG kino. Easily a top 5 for me.

They'll probably be multi-plat or timed exclusive if Monolith Soft helps like with BK HD and will come to Steam with zero fanfare six months later >>718480495 >>718484218
Bruh, staggering lack of critical thinking skills
>>718485216 >Xenoblade is co-owned by Nintendo
It's entirely owned by them, like Monolith Soft doesn't own any rights over Kos-Mos and Saga, they're not going to own any rights over the series that actually makes money.
