I can agree with this. I really liked Alysion but trying the more modern stuff on DCGO is like playing a completely different game.

Unfortunately, most people in DCGO are there to play the actual meta and test decks for events and locals, so you won't have the greatest time if you want to play weaker decks or learn. Alysion seems like a good hopping-in point, but I worry that since they're making it a lower powered format to start with, there's going to be new players that hop into the actual card game and get burned by fucked up decks like Omegamon turbo, Royal Knights, and Megidramon.

Yeah thats definitely possible. I'm running Adventure on DCGO to learn it right now since thats what everyone recommended and what i'll be starting locals with soon and even that deck is getting stomped.
