Lately I've been ruminating way too much about these games, played the first one , on the fence about the second one,so I checked some gameplays to see how is the story unfolding.
Holy Sheesh, this isn't a sequel, this is just "let's reuse every single asset we have and add excuse of a plot"

And they want to fully charge me for it.

Challenge is good, but I was sold on the first game's story. If you dont have a good story to tell, dont make a game, make a mode.

I almost wanto to go to Gamescom (it's in neighbour country) to visit CC2's booth just to chide them and tell to retcon the "sequels".
