You have to understand atari has 0 recognizable IPs.

They figured out in the past like 5 years that brand recognition and character is really important and they are trying to build that. But they actually own fuck all. You got generic as hell series like Haunted house and Berzerk.

They tried to make Yar's revenge a full thing but it didn't quite make it.
I think they got some soul though.

They make fun of the old game, but the video they show of the new one is even worse.

Oh yeah, with game time, they were clearly making a game better than a 3DO and Jaguar game. They didn't "know" what a 3D next gen game is supposed to look or play like.

The only way to fix this is to cancel the project, and hand it to high tier developers but they didn't have the cash for it. Spyro and Crash were big projects that Sony made sure were big deals with a lot of backing and technological investment in. They didn't care about Bubsy.
