It's literally a SH Homecoming reskin.
That game is from 2008. And it's one of the most hated games in the series.
But nowadays, ALL Snoy "exclusive" movie slop plays like it. Uncharted, TLOU, nu-GoW, Senuah... it's that "Souls-lite" slop with typical attack-combo + dodge shit.
Alongside with adapting the fucking Unreal 5 and ditching the FOX Engine, this crap must be the new lowest of the low for Jewnami.

Homecoming is overhated. The gameplay in it was just bland. It's the story that was dumb and didn't really fit Silent Hill. Downpour is the actual irredeemably shitty game of the franchise.

The only horror IPs surviving and thriving are the ones that let you kill the enemies with little issue. At the end of the day they're making a product that they want to sell.

It didn't, but that's the narrative they wanna push these days. And like said: Kocknami already tried this shit 17 years ago, and everyone loathed it.
But alas, the Piss5 generation eats this sort of diarrhea-slop with a glee, and always asks for seconds.
I have to be honest, silent hills gameplay was always so fucking clunky its like resident evil dude bad slow shitty movement isn't a feature, people give RDR2 shit for feeling like a sack of shit and silent hill and RE is the same deal, does resident evil even allow you to walk and shoot at the same time yet?

be funny if using the weapons only worked in the early game and trying to fight became a serious tactical decision as monsters get stronger and stronger
