I've used the fire which you get by default and the poise break because the whip longsword buffs the status buildup but it's still shit compared to the fire needle

Also, this skill's upgrade is ridiculously strong. The Tornado it shoots out makes easy work of humanoids, including Vermillion Honglan. I literally beat her by pretty much just spamming this skill.

Blight seems ridiculously strong for bosses from what i've seen, but since there's only one spell, and it's a slow spell that leaves you wide open, so spamming it isn't much of an option. Idk if there are any other ways to do blight damage besides throwing knives, that spell, and tempering, but the fact that it's so limited kinda drives home how strong it is.

I'm going to try to build around it in NG+. Seems like a fun way to play.

I just finished Stellar Blade, the bad ending was kino. The true ending was trash. Should I play this or finish the Monke game that I finally got past the snow area before dropping cause the game got repetitive?

I only noticed now on ng++ and it was causing me a bit of trouble.

Yeah, makes sense now that you mention it. The poise break effect is probably baked into her entire moveset on higher difficulties to force you into playing more reactive. I went heavy armor with deflect bonuses on my NG++ run and still got staggered constantly, so something definitely scaled up. Kinda love/hate it though, turns every dodge into a coin toss when that spin move comes flying in from off-screen.

Yeah lol, I guess they tried to do their own take on the status effects. I think it might just be strictly worse than fire unless the boss is crazy resistant. I've been using the Lashing Whip + poise break temper for pretty much my entire playthrough, and although it works on most bosses, it takes so long to proc that I can't really give it credit for making the fight any easier.
