It's definitely not "half the game." The real world segments are super short and boring, and the dream world segments are literally the same as the normal game up to the end (with some extremely minor differences toward the end iirc), where there is some new content you can explore in headspace and black space. It isn't a lot though. It has like 2 new bosses The route doesn't end in a satisfying conclusion. It's good to see all the content in the game, but I was disappointed by having to go through the dream world just for this.
I played through the game several times, but I only played the Hikikomori route once, and I don't think I'll ever replay that.

That's right, I meant RPG Maker. The strong point in those games is usually not the battles, but Omori actually does it really well (it has a custom combat system, it doesn't use the default one). I normally hate most RPG Maker battles because they're very boring, but I didn't have an issue with Omori.
So just give the game a try if you're interested. I really like the atmosphere, characters, art, story, and especially the music. You can simply pirate it and see if you like it.

The problem is that being happy is only really fantastic for Kel, I don’t feel Aubrey and Sunny get that much value out of it and you can’t mix emotions. Anger boosts your damage in general
Final strike + furious is like one trillion damage and you can also use shun on Sunny to reduce their defences easily (opening up a skill slot of Aubrey)
While sad enemies take less damage it seems to even out anyway from my napkin math
And it opens up items slots for the team when they don’t need accuracy boosts to hit when manic or ecstatic
