Factorio. Not even saying that as like "duh it's a game for midwits", some of the shit I've seen people get up to at high level Factorio play is insane, BUT Factorio is designed so that even a stupid solution to a problem feels satisfying and feeds into the endless loop of problem->solution.
And it's very hard to do badly at Factorio or fuck up so bad you can't play any more. Any issue you come across just means you play more to fix it.

At the work release, the phones were legal until a couple of months before I got out (then they made us send them home and gave us these flip phones with a list of allowed numbers on them), so that stuff was easier (like the sergeant/hallway stuff). I've been inpatient before for a month on two separate occasions. It wasn't exactly awful, but I hope you're okay with not being able to have any hobbies and drinking a lot of coffee. One of the places only had 3 books, a couple magazines that were several months old, and a tv that got like 2 channels. The only real good part was being able to socialize with people who also had no access to the internet because that's rare these days.

Also it wasn't a prison for criminals so it wasn't gender segregated. Fucked one of the girls that I was there with after we both got out.

It depends on where I was at. When I was in an open dorm (the last 3 or so years of my sentence, including work release), it wasn't happening, but there was a Mexican chick at my job I was fucking in her minivan after work.
I was also in a cell for the bulk of my sentence, and after lockdown, you can get out to clean the dorm, which means going into the mop closet with supervision. Here's me with a smuggled kitten (they were all over the prison grounds, so we'd put them under our shirts and bring them in the dorm, feed them tuna and play with them, then let them back out at count time) early in my sentence.

It's not a recent thing. Factorio devs presented themselves as greedy cunts when they decided to increase the price for an 8 year old indie game. Not only the game is literally never on sale, it went from $20 to $30 some years ago, and then the last year they have upped it again to $35 for no good reason.

P.S. I recommend reading (or audiobook listening to) Michael Crichton.

You can start with Jurassic Park (which is VASTLY different from the film, so don't go "oh I don't need to read it cuz I watched the movie"), then you can move on to Sphere and other novels he wrote. Crichton has a way of making people feel smart by explaining scientific concepts. In a way that assumes the person reading the book is smart but still explains the concept in a way anyone can understand.

That's interesting, we're pretty much exactly opposite. I'm terrible at efficiency, analysis, and problem-solving, but I'm pretty good with spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, and memory. I suck balls at programming and engineering but stuff like music and drawfagging comes as easy as breathing. It goes for vidya, too. Enemy/boss choreography and figuring out internal game mechanics is easy, build design and min-maxing is not, and logic-based puzzle-solving takes me a lot longer than it should and my solutions are usually not what the game intends. It's fun imo how people's brains differ like that.
