If they actually joined up and made 1 console for both Xbox and PS5 offerings that shared all the games between them, it would be gangbusters. Everyone would buy it. People that actively avoid consoles because neither offer everything they want would buy it since they COULD get everything in a single console, so there would be more consoles under TVs overall. Which means at least twice as many game sales so it would be a gold mine for publishers and developers. It would be fucking wild.

I don't think there will be any difference next-gen. PS6 + digital only handheld sounds terrible. PC/Nintendo is just better

Not a ton of names since I'm not that creative, but just something. I'll probably be using PSXbox and PC when referring to multiplatform game availability so if you ever see that here, you'll know it's me.
