Weird statement. I started with the classic games, and loved Rush 1 and 2. I'm a fan of Blaze, and mourn every time she's overlooked. I was also singing Marine's praises, back when Sonic Boom was still in development, and they released the character designs. I was very upset that they created a new orange and brown twin tailed character, instead of using Marine

I've played the majority of sonic games, but I played SA1/2 recently and they're just as shit as they look in let's plays. Fucking level geometry starts bouncing up and down randomly in the first level, randomly clip through the floor to fall out of bounds and die, controls like shit. I got to the eggman pyramid stage with knuckles and got bored of looking for keys for like half an hour.

Explain to me why these are heralded as the most beloved, pivotal games of the franchise?

When Rush came out, one of the big complaints, was that suddent pitfalls woould kill you. You could never just boost to win in those games. And besides, the levels are designed for scoring. Finding short cuts to save time and farming points from spamming as many ricks as you can. When you actually try to get good, then you find the real joy in the game

The DS was just a kino system in general. Bad games on the DS are elevated by the fact that its on the DS and therefore I get to use one to play it. Not even the 3DS has this charm for me. The DS is just a very unique system in the transitory stage between old Game Boy handhelds and the new, stylized handhelds.
