>DVD edition of BG1
It's funny 'cause when BG1 first came out it was on like 5 CDs and if you were a big dick DVD drive owner you could play it with a single disc if you bought the special DVD release, though they presumably improved the compression somewhere since they later got it down to like 3 CDs for a later reprint

Even Descent to Undermountain has the same old school fantasy DnD feel. And that game is a piece of shit. How can such a game still beat modern fantasy games in terms of aesthetics and soul?

I've played BG1 and 2 once each and really liked them. Been waiting for a good discount on Steam -- the lowest recorded price is $2.99 and I'm annoyed that I've missed it.

honestly i think the writing in baldur's gate 1 and 2 is just as good as planescape torment, and the combat is far, far better, so i've never understood why people prefer pt.

if you use other stores, I remember seeing them cheap or in bundles frequently

I miss when PC games came in big cereal boxes with embossed tits on the front.

Was this game actually any good?

It's extremely obtuse but relatively unique (for the time) mechanically

I rtied playing it in the 90s and I found it too slow and hard to play
