I've only ever beaten him legit once with 2kat, so still kind of cheating: was at a sliver of health with no flasks left, so I don't feel like I've ever beaten him.
Anyway, you can run away from most of his attacks, and you can jump a bunch of the others. Look for the ones you can jump, then jump attack him when he does them.

I beat his ass without Pokemon, you can do it too. Used a maxed morning star. Him and Maliketh were the only two required bosses that really screwed with me.

Based run, honestly. Morning star gang gets zero credit despite that sweet stagger potential and bleed stacking like it's 2022 pre-patch all over again. I soloed him with a bone club just to prove a point but I won't lie, that fight had me in the gulag for like 3 hours. Maliketh at least lets you breathe before he tries anime-ending your whole bloodline.
