Epic open world that feels alive and absolutely massive, one of the only games where I actually feel like I'm playing in and exploring an entire country

/v/ jests about open worlds but it gives games a lot of replayability and people will sink many hours into them

For me it's everything I wanted GTA to be as a kid: you can customize your character, you can enter every building, you can talk to everyone, every npc is unique etc

>not even GTA went that far because they were too busy sniffing their own asses
The closet we got to a mainline GTA with an OC donut steel was 3 and by extension SA because CJ was a walking ball of clay. An actual proper GTA that throws out the bullshit of these one note narratives would be leaps and bounds over the stuff they do now. That was always a shining point in TES because the main quest is forgettable. You can just fuck right off and wander around doing your own thing without a care in the world. Mods make that even better since for the most part you can pad out the feature list for what you want with the world serving as a blank canvas.

More like a county than a country if you want to be pedantic. I wouldn't want to see what level of Shartfield procgen they are going with in TES : Hammerfell to pad out those numbers. If they scale up the population numbers while still maintaining a similar geographic layout it wouldn't be nearly as comical. Using the civil war mods that add roaming skirmishes in the wild. Makes the game a lot more compelling seeing 50 v 50 battles over that anemic shit in the basegame. It's not Bannerlord tier but it is still better than nothing.

Now a TES game with the level of NPC count that Bannerlord can spit out would be legit. 500 v 500 pitched battles between the various factions at play with forts and cities changing hands depending on their backing and your ability to intervene.
